Most field lacrosse goals use official 6’x6’x7’ nets, which is the standard size for high school, college, and pro play. Indoor or box lacrosse goals use smaller nets, typically 4’x4’x4’. Be sure to match your net size to your goal frame.

The thickness of the net (in millimeters) impacts how well it can handle shots:

- 3mm–4mm: Great for youth players or light backyard practice
- 5mm–6mm: Ideal for regular team practices or high school use
- 7mm–8mm: Built for college-level or pro shooters; maximum durability

If your goal stays outdoors year-round, yes. Look for black, weather-treated models like the Champion 6mm or 7mm black nets, which are coated to resist sun, rain, and wear. They last significantly longer than untreated nets.
